The Turner House gallery in Penarth is inviting artists from the Vale and Cardiff to submit artworks for its annual Open Exhibition.

Artists of all ages and abilities are welcome to submit pieces to be exhibited in the gallery from August 4 to September 11.

The exhibition is free to enter and artists can put forward up to two artworks of any medium and size.

A member of The Turner House gallery team said: "After our first Open Exhibition last year, we are so excited to see more of what Penarth has to offer. This exhibition is at the core of what we do here and is a great opportunity for artists of all ages and abilities."

Artists must live or work in Penarth and the surrounding areas which include the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff.

Applications can be submitted via the online form and the deadline to apply is Friday, July 8 at midday.

All submissions are subject to a review process by a panel of representatives from Penarth Town Council and Amgueddfa Cymru (National Museum Wales).

The exhibition has also received financial support from the Vale of Glamorgan's Strong Communities Grant Fund
