The general election candidates have been confirmed for the Vale of Glamorgan area.

Four candidates will run for the election in the hope of gaining a seat for the Vale of Glamorgan.

Alun Cairns, who has been the MP for the Vale of Glamorgan since 2010, will be running again and represents the conservatives.

Anthony Slaughter, who is the leader of the Green Party in Wales, will also be a candidate in the race for election in the Vale.

Belinda Loveluck-Edwards is representing Welsh Labour for the constituency. She has been the Labour representative since 2018.

Laurence Edwards is a member of Gwlad Gwlad and will be attempting to be elected for this general election. The party fights for Welsh Independence and was created in 2018.

The Liberal Democrats and Plaid Cymru candidates stood aside for the Green Party in a ''Unite to Remain'' pact created by the three parties to maximise the Remain vote and ensure a strong anti-Brexit voice at Westminster.

The election will be held on the 12th of December 2019.
