A Cowbridge community group has flagged up its work helping local people with learning difficulties.

Under the umbrella of Mencap, Cowbridge Monday Club is a social club for adults with learning disabilities, meeting on the second Monday of the month between 7.30pm and 9pm, for fun-filled evenings.

There is a small annual charge, and transport can sometimes be arranged as people are welcomed from all areas around the district.

The club has been running since 1974; the current membership is 19, and although families/carers are welcome to stay for the evening, there is always good adult supervision of the members.
