As galleries open after lockdown, artists are starting to show the work they have been creating during this period and preparations are being made for local art exhibitions.

One such exhibition will be a collaboration from the Wick Group of Artists who are making plans to show their art work at their local village hall on Saturday 13th November 2021.

Before lockdown the group met regularly on Thursday afternoons to create art pieces together and have done so for over ten years.

They have re-established their group sessions after 18 months of closures during which time they kept in touch via their weekly newsletter and online art classes delivered by artist and tutor Christine Lamb.

Christine, who joined the group four years ago, is an active member of Wick Group of Artists and is spearheading the one day exhibition.

"It is a real pleasure to bring the art that the artists from the group have been producing over the last 18 months together," she said.

"They have provided much needed support for each other which has been a true inspiration for my own practice and has spurred me on."

Look out for more examples of art from this group as they prepare for an exhibition which promises to be a real eye-opener.
