Lions President David Cox presents a cheque

The Cowbridge Gateway Monday Club recently held a Harvest Supper at the Duke of Wellington in Cowbridge.

At the end of a very enjoyable evening the President of Llantwit Major and Cowbridge Lions Club, David Cox, and Vice-President Carol Sloan presented the Chair of Monday Club, Iwan Thomas, with a cheque which was very much appreciated.

The Cowbridge Gateway Monday Club is a registered charity which supports adults in the Vale of Glamorgan over 16 years with additional needs.

They meet on the second Monday of the month in a church hall in Cowbridge. They are a social club whose activities include arts and crafts, singing, keep-fit, visits to local places of interest, an annual dinner and an annual day trip.

Llantwit Major and Cowbridge Lions Club is a registered charity and part of Lions International.

As part of their work in supporting the local community they have supported the Cowbridge Gateway Monday Club both financially and physically for many years.

Both the Monday Club and the Lions Club welcome new members.
