Plans to expand and convert Filco food store have been submitted to the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

The proposals detail a ground floor extension, turning the first-floor offices into a one-bedroom flat, and extending and converting the empty space next door into two more flats.

The flats would each have a bedroom, bathroom and combined living and kitchen areas.

Drawings show that Filco would be expanded sideways towards the River Thaw to include a café and a new façade for 'Simply Fresh'.

A food supplier, Simply Fresh focuses on local, organic, seasonal produce. It currently has 25 stores across England and Wales, with the nearest located at Cardiff and the Vale College, Dumballs Road.

The application is yet to be determined.
