The winner of a Jubilee art competition has donated his painting to Cowbridge with Llanblethian Town Council.

Cowbridge Chamber of Trade held an art competition as part of the Queens Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The winners were announced and presented with prizes at the beacon lighting ceremony on Thursday, June 2.

Chi Lee, who won the adult category, kindly offered to donate his winning entry.

The painting was accepted by the mayor, councillor John Andrew, at a small ceremony in the mayor's Parlour in Cowbridge Town Hall.

Mr Lee, a graphic designer and a local landscape artist, is originally from Hong Kong but has lived in Wales for over 20 years.

He is an amateur artist who has had his work exhibited all over South and West Wales including, in 2019, a solo exhibition in the Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay.

Chi's connection with Cowbridge is that since 2021 he has been a part-time Art Lecturer in Old Hall and a member of the Cowbridge Art society.
