The launch of the Cowbridge Day of the Vale Walking Festival took place in the Lesser Town Hall, Cowbridge at 9.30 am Friday 10 September 2021.

The Mayor Cllr Siân Vaughan and her consort Rob Vaughan welcomed the Valeways volunteers, and walkers on behalf of Cowbridge with Llanblethian Town Council to the launch and invited those present to enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits.

Helen Keneally from the Chepstow Walkers are Welcome group was in attendance as she has been a mentor to Cowbridge Walkers are Welcome.

There were four Cowbridge walks to choose from on the day.

Thank you to Rebecca Exley and the many volunteers and excellent walk leaders without whom there would be no Walking Festival.

Also present at the launch were Town Hall staff Cathy and Tim, Deputy Mayor Cllr John Andrew , Deputy Mayoress Anna Andrew, Cllr Gwen Baty, Cllr Heather Weddell and Cllr Gus Baty.
