WATCH: Otters in the River Thaw at night

Last Sunday, we shared footage of two otters in the River Thaw in the town centre.

It was amazing to see what looked like a mother and pup, as otters are usually nocturnal creatures.

We're excited to share this footage captured by wildlife photographer Oscar Wainwright of two otters on the banks of the River Thaw further out in the valley.

"I had only been filming the same big male otter for quite a while until I managed to record that video with him and his mate," says Oscar.

"It was pretty exciting to see him with company after only seeing him alone for such a long time.

"That's unusual by the way, you'd never find two adult male otters occupying the same stretch of river without an argument!"
