On Monday, February 3, the Council's Cabinet will consider the proposals before a meeting of all Councillors on February 26.

The money you pay to the police in Cowbridge is likely to rise by between 5% and nearly 8% next year.
The potential South Wales Police precept rises have been laid out in a report from the police and crime commissioner Alun Michael set to be considered by the police and crime panel in Merthyr Tydfil on Thursday, January 30.

A planning application has been submitted to change the use of 75 Eastgate, Cowbridge, from commercial property to three 2 bedroom apartments.
The application is for: "Proposed demolition of rear outbuilding, change of use to provide three apartments, two-storey rear extension, roof dormer, car parking, landscaping and associated works".

Hafod has submitted their revised planning application for the proposed demolition of the old sixth form school on Aberthin Road to make way for a host of affordable housing.
The development has caused great controversy amongst local residents who are against the destruction of the historic building.

Taylor Wimpey's South Wales team has recruited 14 new apprentices at its Clare Garden Village development in Cowbridge.
The apprentices will specialise in brickwork and will continue to work with the company on completion of their apprenticeship.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council has said that they will be gritting all routes from 6.00pm this evening as temperatures are set to fall below zero overnight and Cowbridge residents are reminded to drive with caution.
The Met Office has predicted that: 'It looks to be clear and frosty for a while tonight, but with widespread fog and freezing fog developing through the early hours, especially for the south. Minimum temperature -4 °C.''

The Vale council has carried out public consultation and compiled a report on proposals to withdraw funding for its fare-paying school bus services which would affect pupils from Cowbridge and further afield.
After consideration of the report, Cabinet seeks approval for the withdrawal of funding of Council supported fare-paying school bus services with effect from 1st September 2020.
