Friday morning (10:30 – 12:30): With Music In Mind

A weekly group for over 50s to sing and socialise on Fridays at Scout Hall in Cowbridge.  

With Music In Mind, which runs weekly groups in Cowbridge, Penarth, Barry and Llantwit Major, aims to bring people together through singing to improve memory, wellbeing and reduce stress.  

The musical director, Matthew Nash, leads a one-hour session of singing with lyrics projected onto the wall, and then attendees will have a tea break before finishing the day with a social activity.  

With Music In Mind sessions are held at the Scout Hall every Friday from 10:30 – 12:30.

Friday afternoon (14:00 – 16:00): Forget Me Not Hub

There is a community hub in Cowbridge every Thursday and Friday, between 14:00 and 16:00.  

We are welcoming people with dementia and the elderly to join us. Watch a golden oldie movie, have a sing-song, play a game or just sit and chat.

Saturday morning (09:00 – 13:00): Cowbridge Farmers' Market

Every Saturday morning at the Arthur John Car Park, you can shop fresh, locally sourced produce at Cowbridge Farmers' Market.  

A fixture of Cowbridge for more than 20 years, the market is brimming with treats and organic food.

Saturday afternoon/evening (15:00 – 23:00): Lamb Jam at Forage Farm Shop & Kitchen

Forage Farm Shop & Kitchen in Cowbridge has partnered with the charity music event Lamb Jam to host its first summer festival. 

The festival will be held on Saturday, June 25 and raise money for Kidney Wales and Neuroendocrine Cancer UK. 

Guests can take part in some games on the lawn area such as a rugby challenge and cornhole championship, as well as guess the weight of a piglet. 

There will also be a raffle with prizes including Six Nations tickets, gin tasting sessions, and a UK hotel break in a Town & Country hotel. 

Everyone is welcome to attend. Children under five years old can enter for free, children under 16 will cost £8.50 per ticket and adult tickets are £15 each. 

Doors will open at 15:00, with music scheduled to start at 16:00 and the festival will close at 23:00. 

There will be a taxi drop-off and collection point in the car park.
