It was utterly fantastic to see the Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Show return after three years on pause to celebrate its 250th anniversary.
The whole Vale community came together attracting thousands of people in attendance who spent the day soaking in the sun and enjoying the huge array of shows and competitions across the grounds.
It was great to see such a variety of stands from local charities, trade stands and craft competitions. These included the Glamorgan Smallholders, NFU Cymru, ABP Livestock, The DPJ Foundation, FUW, Marie Curie, and Guide Dogs.
A range of trade stands displayed the best of the Vale selling everything from flower headbands to local fruit jams - I will need to practice my reaction time after an attempt at the Army's stall challenge!
Upon moving back to Penllyn after years away, hopefully, the traffic issues are early teething problems.
Following discussions with concerned residents after the clear issue with queuing traffic, I will be working with the council to ensure the traffic management provided improves and doesn't repeat at the event again next year.
I really enjoyed speaking to so many local residents who were enjoying the show.
Cowbridge has yet more great events going on in the coming weeks with the art festival and the brilliant Cowbridge Music Festival - I hope you can support these as best you can and keep an eye on Nub News for all the details!
