Cowbridge is set to head into another weekend of yellow weather warnings as the Met Office predicts heavy rain across Friday and Saturday.

The sun may have made a fleeting visit in Cowbridge this week but the town is set for more weather chaos in the next couple of days.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain from 12:00 noon Friday until 9:00 am Saturday.

Rain is expected in Cowbridge from 5:00 am Friday morning until 6:00 pm Saturday.

Heavy rain may lead to some flooding and disruption to transport.

What to expect:

• Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer

• Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer

• Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely

The Met Office states: ''Spells of heavy rain are likely to affect parts of Wales and northern England during the second half of Friday through to Saturday morning.

Some 15-30 mm of rain is likely quite widely in the areas covered by the warning, with 40-60 mm possible on the highest ground.

The heaviest rain is most likely on Friday night before clearing eastwards on Saturday morning.''
