This election marks the first in Welsh political history in which 16- and 17-year-olds were able to vote.

But how would students even younger than these vote if given the opportunity?

Thanks to a poll conducted by Project Vote, we can develop a pretty good idea.

They asked almost 10,000 11- to 15-year-olds across Wales how they would vote if they could. This means one in 20 young people in Wales took part.

The Vale of Glamorgan constituency garnered just 211 respondents.

Here's how they voted:

Janet Brocklehurst – Propel – 9%

Alan Coulthard – Independent – 1%

Stuart Field – Abolish the Welsh Assembly – 2%

Richard Grigg – Plaid Cymru – 5%

Mike Hancock – Reform UK – 13%

Jane Hutt – Labour – 18%

Karl James Langford – Gwlad – 4%

Neil Shah – Freedom Alliance – 3%

Anthony Slaughter – Green Party – 23%

Matt Smith – Conservatives – 13%

Sally Stephenson – Liberal Democrats – 9%
