Volunteers are needed this weekend to help Ystradowen village gardeners.

A small group of five maintain the lay-by and tubs along the village main roads.

"Whilst we can raise funds to pay for the heavy work, they need help with the ongoing monthly tidying up that happens on the first Saturday of the month (or any other time that you can fit it in)," read an appeal on the village social media group.

"This lay-by enhances and is an asset to our village and it is enjoyed by many."
